Scorpio 3

The Scorpio 3 was the last in the line of the Trio. The most notable change was to the design of the bearings.

By the mid 1990’s we had decided to discontinue the Aureus ll, and worked to incorporate much of its technology into the Scorpio lll.

The bearing in both planes journal bearings, although later in production we reverted back to the tetrahedral bearing in the vertical plane.

Unlike its predecessors, the bearing housing was a one-piece component.

We also decided the we would revert to the fixed headshell and use slots to adjust the cartridge.

Other detail improvements made ranged from the anti-skate to the the arm retaining clip.
