The Scorpio 2 was made in the late 1980’s but was probably the most successful of the Scorpio range.
Its predecessor only used the tetrahedral bearings in the vertical plane, but for the MKII version, we extended this to include the lateral bearings.
The sliding arm tube of the MKI was also changed. Here, the arm tube is fixed in relation to the bearings, and cartridge adjustments were achieved by allowing the headshell alone to move. You will notice a collar behind the headshell to facilitate this.

Overall, the MKII Scorpio represented a significant improvement over the MKI.
